Fall 2009 Meeting

The CANNeCTIN Fall 2009 Meeting was held in Edmonton, Alberta between October 23-24, 2009 at The Varscona Hotel in the historic Strathcona District of downtown Edmonton. The meeting attracted nearly 100 CANNeCTIN members from across Canada and included a Steering Committee meeting on October 23 and Working Group/Study meetings on October 24.

The Fall 2009 Meeting also included the introduction of the new CANNeCTIN Research Achievement Award which was developed to recognize research excellence, especially where there has been a focus on building and facilitating collaborative research in Canada and internationally. This year the award was presented to Dr. Gilles Dagenais for his facilitation of collaborative cardiovascular research in Canada as well as for his personal research achievements.
